All of these women is real. I got their names from people who live there now, from old timers, county atlases, and from deed records.
Where I actually know something about the women, that's the basis of their descriptions. But sometimes I have just a name and a plant or seed or bulb. I wouldn't know who she was otherwise, but I can know with my imagination.
The results is the same. The flowers is prayer flags for those who know. Each time you see one, think of the woman who planted it. And someday, someone might think of you when they see what you planted.
